Genre – Cozy Mystery / Short Story / Animals / Series

Clarissa and Paw are enjoying a snowy winter day indoors when their neighbor, Mrs. Carstairs calls. She’s concerned about the door to her shed being open and banging in the wind. Clarissa agrees to go over and shut it so that Mrs. Carstairs doesn’t go out into the ice and snow. Going to close the door, Clarissa is surprised to find the dead body of a man in the shed. Who could it be? How did he die? And more importantly, is Mrs. Carstairs in danger?
Clarissa and Paw will be on the case.
This is a 5200 word mini mystery/short story. This is the third book in the Clarissa and Paw Mini Mystery Series. The first book is The Mystery of the Blue Dolphins.

My Review Rating – 5 Stars

I love Clarissa and Paw. Love every single book of theirs so far. This is the 3rd book of their series. The story is a really short one. This time is the first time an actual murder has happened in Clarissa and Paw’s life. It is a very cold winter and Mrs. Carstairs feel there is someone in her shed. She calls up Clarissa and Paws to check and they find a dead body in the shed. Unknown dead body creates panic and Clarissa and Paw are at it again.

The story is really beautiful for such a short one. It is a true talent to write a murder mystery in just 10  pages. The language is simple and not hardcore like in regular murder mystery. Clarissa and Paw has got all the thrill, suspense and mystery in a simple, non threatening way. The book is good for young adults too, although I wouldn’t want kids to be exposed to violence in even the mildest form.

Sandra has created magic once again with Clarissa and Paw. Paw is as adorable as in all the previous books, if not more. I have fallen more and more in love with both of them. Simply wonderful.
